Student stations can route stereo output to room speakers and can connect to the teacher station to play multichannel files.

i-Card Access

Because CAMIL I is an unmonitored lab its door is always locked and access into the room is only possible using the i-Card reader attached to the door. The card reader unlocks the door only for registered i-Card numbers. All Composition/Theory faculty and C/T graduate students are automatically registered for i-Card access. SOM faculty members will be given i-Card access upon request. Undergraduate SOM students, non-C/T graduate students and non-SOM students can petition for i-Card access through faculty sponsored projects.

Petitioning for i-Card access to CAMIL I

Write a brief description of the project and explain why it needs to take place in CAMIL I rather than the CITES monitored CAMIL II lab. Include the name of the faculty member sponsoring the project, your name as it appears on the i-Card as well as the full i-Card ID number. E-mail your petition to the lab director.

Using the i-Card

To open the door, place your i-Card in the slot in the door handle with the top of the card pointing toward the door and the back of the card pointing toward the right. Then slowly swipe your i-Card straight down to the bottom of the slot; when the green light blinks open the door. The i-Card reader automatically logs your i-Card number and time of day you opened the door. Note that the mechanism is sensitive; you may have to swipe the card several times before it unlocks.
